Today is the 50th anniversary of Brown vs. Board of Education
Or so I've been told. This is when people were fighting for equal
rights. Their rights were restricted simply because of their color.
After Brown won, southern governmental officials made the "Southern
Manifesto". This is when ignorant people blocked the ways to
education screaming "Segregation now, segregation forever".
49 years later. 2 consenting adults were arrested in the bedroom for
acts that were illegal in their state. The supreme court ruled in the
2 men's favor. Pat Robertson was obviously angry, he would rather
have 2 consenting men sent to jail rather than child murderers. So he
started "Operation Judicial Freedom", wishing ill upon the Supreme
Court Justices. Recently Justice Souter was attacked while he was
jogging. Souter, although a Republican voted against Bush in the
Election Trial and supports separation of Church and State. Call me
crazy, but I wonder if Robertson had something to do with the attack
on him.
But isn't it funny how history repeats itself?
